Fees and FAQs

​​The fee for a standard 50 minute individual psychotherapy session or family session is $125. Although I do not take insurance, I am eligible to be an out of network provider. See below for more information about out of network coverage.

Q: Why should I consider choosing a therapist that is out of network?

​

A: I choose to work out of network because I believe it enhances the quality of care I can provide to my clients for the following reasons: 

• Insurance companies require therapists to give clients a narrow range of diagnoses to justify treatment and can require the release of a significant amount of confidential client information.

• Insurance companies often limit the amount, frequency, and types of care therapists can provide based on insurance company profits rather than what is in the best clinical interest of the individual.

• Not working with insurance companies provides me with a significantly greater amount of time to train, read, consult, and focus on my clients' treatment. For every hour I spend with you, I will be investing many hours engaged in work that supports me providing you with well-trained and carefully thought out care.
