Taking the first step to begin therapy is an act of great trust. I offer an accepting, warm, and honest therapeutic relationship, through which you may gain a sense of confidence, self-compassion, and growth that helps you feel more comfortable and capable in your life.

We will begin every session with an invitation for you to speak about whatever is on your mind at present. This style of mindful and exploratory therapy helps you to connect with yourself as you are in this moment. As we get to know each other, we will become aware of patterns in feelings, thoughts, behaviors, and relationships as they show up in your life and even in the therapy room. Together, we will look at these dynamics with curiosity and compassion to help you gain a sense of choice in your life, as well as self-acceptance. I help my clients become aware of the beliefs that underlie the patterns in their lives, so they can choose new paths that more closely match their values.

Many of my clients are deep thinkers, deep feelers, and self-aware folks who benefit from both talk therapy and working with what arises in the body. This often includes

-Highly sensitive people (HSPs)

-Late diagnosed/High-masking neurodivergent adults

-Those wanting to address challenging family of origin dynamics from the past and/or present

-Those struggling with anxiety, social anxiety, people pleasing, parentification, or constant emotional caregiving of others

-Therapists and other caregiving professions

My therapeutic approach is based in psychodynamic therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), parts work (IFS-informed), play therapy, and neuroaffirming/social justice frameworks.
